Coats Veterinary Hospital is located in the wonderful community of Rocky Mount, NC, 45 minutes east of our capital, Raleigh. We are a four doctor, AAHA Accredited small animal general practice. Our practice offers great hours without emergency on-call duties. We pride ourselves on providing individualized care to all of our patients and a high level of customer service to our clients. Relocation expenses can be negotiated. We are seeking a highly motivated, people-oriented Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Requirements
Daily tasks would include the following:
- Speaking with clients during consultations using expertise in medical terminology
- Preparing animals for procedures or surgery
- Providing and monitoring anesthesia
- Giving animals nursing care and first aid when needed
- Collecting and testing lab samples
- Taking digital radiographs
- Giving medications, injections, or treatments
- Collecting and maintaining patient records
- Overseeing equipment maintenance and updates, maintaining excellent records
- Performing digital dental radiographs and dental cleanings
- Encouraging teammates and maintaining the bond within our team
